Gul Az Rukhat Aamokhta گل از رخت آموخته - Abdul Rehman Jaami
“Gul Az Rukhat Aamokhta” is a heart touching Persian Naat of Mawlanā Nūr al-Dīn ‘Abd al-Rahmān Jami (1414 -1492). He belonged to Afghanistan. He was not only a religious cleric, but also a Sufi poet.
English translation
Flower has learnt tender-being from your face,
And nightingale has learnt from you the sweet words
Whoever saw your red lips, praised them
Even the nicely carved carnelian of Yemen
Tailor of the eternity has sewed over your pretty stature
this green dress of garden over your body
In your love teeth are broken, mere due to love
