Bakhubi Hamchu by Amir Khusou (1253–1325), better known as Amīr Khusrau Dehlavī (Also known as ‘Amir Khusro امیر خسرو’) was a Sufi singer, poet and scholar from India. Khusrau is regarded as the “father of qawwali” (a devotional form of singing of the Sufis in the Indian subcontinent). Anyone who knows Qawwali, knows Amir Khusrau. This beautiful and soulful poem by Amir khusrau is one of the most famous qawwali, almost all of the famous qawwals has sung this. English translation
May you be radiant like the moon;
Stay in the realm of love
I am a dervish, killed in your grief
Gracious of you, God bless you
Lessen the persecution, that on the resurrection day
Ashamed in front of lovers
I shall be set free from the sorrows of world,
If you are my companion
Burns the world, if you are in sorrow
Thanksgiving, if you laugh
By roguery and by playfulness and by hundreds of vainglories
You have broken thousands of khans and us
