Eid gaah e maan ghareeban by Amir Khusou (1253–1325), better known as Amīr Khusrau Dehlavī (Also known as ‘Amir Khusro امیر خسرو’) was a Sufi singer, poet and scholar from India. Khusrau is regarded as the “father of qawwali” (a devotional form of singing of the Sufis in the Indian subcontinent). Anyone who knows Qawwali, knows Amir Khusrau. This beautiful and soulful poem by Amir khusrau is one of the most famous qawwali, almost all of the famous qawwals has sung this. Eid gaah e maan ghareeban – Amir Khusrou
English translation
Your street/place is Eid gaah for us strangers/poors
That moment is Eid, glimpse of your face
My Kaaba’ ,my Kibla is thou
Lovers sajda gaah is your eyebrow
Hundreds of thousands of Eid, will surrender for you
Oh our crescent moon, on the curve of your eyebrow
Bestow your hand towards our begging bowl
Hail the fortitude of your arm
Oh Nizamuddin beloved of God
All lovers are slave of thou

هم پردیسیوں کی عیدگاہ آپ کا کوچہ ہے
آپ کا چہرا دیکھنے کا لمحہ ہی عید ہوتا
میرا کعبہ و قبلہ آپ کا چہرا ہے
آپ کی ابرو، عاشقوں کی سجدہ گاہ ہے
آپ کی ابرو، عاشقوں کی سجدہ گاہ ہے
تجھ پر لاکھوں عیدیں قربان کر دوں
اے ہمارے ماہ عید، آپ کی ابرو کے خم پر
اے ہمارے ماہ عید، آپ کی ابرو کے خم پر
ہمارے کاسہ کی طرف ھاتھ بڑھائیں
آپ کے بازو کی ھمت کو سلام ہے
آپ کے بازو کی ھمت کو سلام ہے
یا نظام الدین محبوب خدا
سب محبوب آپ کے رخ کے غلام ہیں
